Ashley is committed to providing healthy lifestyle modifications that can enhance and prolong life. She is extremely passionate about nutrition, exercise and natural healing. She strongly believes that education is the foundation to optimum health and reconnecting to the natural world. ” I always thought I ate pretty damn healthy. I really did, that was until I met my husband. I have to say he’s the reason I started to dive into food safety and educated myself on the power of mother nature. I have learned so much and will be forever grateful. Thats what I hope to do for everyone that visits this site. I hope to inspire, educate and change the way people currently view life, food, products and everything it entails. I want to share this abundance of information with everyone I know.” Among other fitness regimes Ashley is a huge advocate for the practice of yoga. “I’ve been an athlete my whole life. I played division I softball and won two Big East Championships. I guess you could say I was bit of a tomboy. Nowadays my real love is yoga along with lifting weights several times a week. Yoga brings me a good workout along with peace of mind! The truth is if you eat a clean diet you don’t need to hit the gym hard everyday. Health begins at home, right in your kitchen.”
Ashley Cote is a registered nurse currently residing in Pennsylvania with her husband and 2 dogs, Knuckles and Roxy! She is also one of 3 co-founders of Health Curve Magazine. This online editorial magazine was inspired to create healthy lifestyles and provide knowledge on to do so. “My goal is to create awareness and teach people how to cook and live healthier so that they have the knowledge to make better choices.”
Ashley is also involved in the Hemp Heals Foundation in which her husband, former NHL enforcer for the Philadelphia Flyers founded along with Michelle Miller-DeMarco. This foundation is a non-profit dedicated to promoting health and wellness and hosts an incredible festival each summer showcasing headliner bands and local natural products that revolve around the hemp industry. “This is a way for us to make a difference in our community and link it to the ever growing hemp industry as a whole.”
All Hands Working is also proud to have her on their team. This is another charity that she works with for volunteer fire fighters and first responders. “I am so proud to be a part of an organization like All Hands Working. These men and women don’t have the luxury of knowing when they are going to have to save a life so it becomes pertinent that they maintain a healthy lifestyle.” Health Curve Magazine serves serve as a portal for these heroes to get recipe ideas, exercise tips using body weight and learn how to cope with the stresses of putting their life on the line every day.
During the hockey season she dedicates herself to working with Phantoms Wives Charity in Allentown PA. This group of wives and significant others is on a mission to do well by helping the youth programs and raising donations to give back to their local community.
